We are All Access Home Modifications, your partners in making homes safer for aging in Oahu. We provide assessments and recommend custom home modifications for a secure lifestyle based on our expertise.

Jonathan Cheung, OTR/L, MSOT, CAPS

Jonathan is an occupational therapist by training, with over a decade of experience in various medical settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, acute hospital rehabilitation, outpatient neurological rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedic hand therapy.

He received his Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in 2009, and is a member of the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), and Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA). He has held his Certified Aging in Place (CAPS) designation since 2022.

During your time together, he will be working as an environmental specialist to assess your home.

Drawing on experience as a medical professional, and working as an environmental specialist, we are happy to offer the following services.

Home Assessment

In-person assessment in your environment, to provide the most appropriate home modification recommendations within client budget.

Onsite Coordination

Providing direction and collaboration between client and various contractors during home modification process.

Medical Equipment Training

Personalized training on safe use of medical equipment within the home environment.

1. Call

A free consultation by phone to explain our services and find out how we can work together.

2. Initial Evaluation

In-person meeting, assessing your functional needs and current environment.

3. Report

Receive a customized report on recommendations for home modifications, medical equipment, and general changes in home environment.

Further Options

If services beyond the preliminary assessment and recommendations are desired, we offer the following.

4. Connect

If needed, connect you with contractors & handypersons, and provide assistance with obtaining recommended equipment.

5. Training

If desired, provide training on new medical equipment to you and caregivers in home setting.

6. Follow up

Follow up with you to ensure satisfaction on recommendations & equipment, and provide further guidance as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you be seeing clients as an occupational therapist (OT)?

Though his work experience is as an OT, Jon's role in this situation is as an environmental specialist. He will not be making specific goals for treatment, but will prioritize client safety and independence by recommending appropriate medical devices, and provide training to you and/or caretakers, if requested.

Do you accept insurance?

All Access Home Modifications will be providing a cash-based service for the time being. This allows Jon to focus on you and your loved one's needs without worrying about whether or not insurance will approve of the recommended modifications and equipment.

How much will your services cost?

The process of a home assessment ( between1-2 hours in-person, depending on need and focus of concern) and a detailed written report with custom home modification recommendations, is between $250-300. Connecting clients and builders, (including project management in person) and client and caregiver training is $100 per hour, with pro-rating available per quarter hour. All prices exclusive of Hawaii sales tax.
